4 Must Haves for Family Night

1. Make sure everyone is well fed

If I could say ONE thing about my family it is that NO ONE is happy when they are hungry.

Before a family night, plan a meal that makes everyone happy. In my house, this meal is macaroni and cheese or pizza.  I try to fight it, but this is one situation where I give in and supplement the meal with lots of fruit, veggies and a side of protein.

Which they never eat, but that is another battle.

Happy, full kids are more amenable to learning new things, dealing with frustration and being nice to their siblings.

Make everyone even happy with dinner and…

2. Make a sweet treat

What’s better than a dessert after dinner? Especially when it’s a fantastic game night dessert stuffed with M&M’s® Peanut Butter?

These peanut butter brownies were hands down, the best peanut butter brownies I have EVER tasted, nonetheless made.  My secret?

Not only are there M&M’s® Peanut Butter mixed into the batter.

Does this sight make you as happy as it does me? They’re going in the oven now!! Ad #gamenightin

But I also did this..

Then I did this..

I made them poke brownies! A luscious peanut butter caramel oozed through every crumb.  These are melt in your mouth delicious!!

I then topped the brownies with a thick layer of peanut butter frosting.

I used red, green, yellow and blue M&M’s® Milk Chocolate to dot the top to tie-in to our choice of board game.  Can you guess which game we chose?

  1. Great tips! My kids are 3, 6 & 7 and while close enough in age the 3 year old does tend to be the wild card on game night! Well fed kiddos definitely make our game nights much more enjoyable! #client
