Avery & Austin Playdate Box
I don’t plan much for playdates. I think my daughter and her friends do best when they are given responsibility for creating their own activities and using their imagination to play. However, I love having supplies on hand for special get togethers and to expand the realm of what’s possible for play.
I recently discovered the Avery & Austin subscription box which includes everything you need to host the perfect playdate. I contacted the company to ask to review it. They said yes! We received our box this past week and immediately unpacked it.
Ohhh… six-year-olds 🙂
Once we opened our Avery & Austin box, I knew my daughter wouldn’t want to wait for a friend to come over. She wanted to tackle the activities right then and there. So her brother became her playdate.
Our Avery & Austin box included:
Notice that are enough supplies for two kids to enjoy the activity. I loved the addition of the applesauce. Such a cute touch! The box also included a gift for mom that coincided with the theme. Since its all about dirt and rocks, this month’s box included a mud mask as well as some lip balm.
My kids chose to paint the rock buddies first.
I loved how it was an easy activity that didn’t require complicated instructions. My one-year-old, Dude, loved it! I’m pretty sure he felt like a big kid since he usually doesn’t get to participate in the same activities as his sister. We have yet to plant the carrot seeds included in the box, but that’s perfect because now we have another great afternoon activity.

What a great post JoAnn. I think your son did a much better job than my 6 year old daughter! Thank you for sharing. xoxo
Oh.. 6 year olds 🙂 I can completely relate.
