Chili Truffles
Chili Truffles
These truffles cut the heat of M&M’s® Chili Nut nicely. They are indulgent and creamy with a little spicy kick at the end.
And they will take you only a few minutes of active prep time!
You will need:
- 30 chocolate sandwich cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cut into cubes
- M&M’s® Chili Nut
- Dark Chocolate melting wafers
Simply place chocolate sandwich cookies, cream cheese and 1/2 cup M&M’s® Chili Nut into a food processor. Pulse until well combined.
Depending on the size of your food processor, you may want to only add half of the ingredients first, blend and then add more. I stuck everything in there and I had to clear the blade multiple times.
Chill the mixture for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator. This will allow it to firm up slightly which will make it easier to roll into balls.
Once chilled, pinch tablespoon sized portions, roll each into a ball and place onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Chill for 4 hours.
Before you remove the truffle balls, melt the chocolate wafers according to package instructions. I like melting mine in the microwave.
Place about 1/4 cup of M&M’s® Chili Nut in a sealable plastic bag and crush them. This will be the topping for your truffles.
Remove the truffle balls from the fridge. Pick up a ball using two forks, place into your melted chocolate, coat evenly on all sides and shake off excess. Place back on the cookie sheet and immediately sprinkle with the crushed M&M’s® Chili Nut.
Repeat with each truffle.
When you’re finished, sit back and savor the spicy deliciousness.
Clearly, after biting into these, you might have a clear favorite in the M&M’s® Flavor vote.
