If you feel like every time you ask for help, you're met with excuses and defensiveness - making you avoid the discussion completely - today you'll learn how to start the discussion. I'll teach you a framework to diffuse that may have come up in the past. Let me help you get your partner & kids on board so you'll feel confident and accomplished.
Thursday, November 17th
I'll help you make the best decisions for your family on what to say "yes" to and what say "no" to with this framework. Learn a simple method to say no where both people walk away feeling respected and appreciated.
I remember the moment two years ago that I knew things needed to change.
It was the day after Christmas and I had just finished all the shopping, had done all the wrapping, and organized all the meals - on top of keeping up with my own job, taking the kids to their after-school activities, and managing my son's frequently intense emotions.
I sat on the couch and cried. Huge, heaving, trying to catch-my-breath sobs.
There I was, doing EVERYTHING and still feeling like a huge disappointment.
That's when I knew I couldn't do it all anymore. My kids expected me to take care of waking them up, to answer their every need, and constantly be available. I felt overwhelmed and I knew my kids weren't developing any responsibility with me doing it all.
So, I started changing how I asked. I used proven strategies from psychology and the strong communication skills that I've learned through my research in parenting practice, psychology and communication.
Instead of coming up with solutions myself, I brought my family in on the problem-solving. Instead of putting it all on myself, I delegated to others. And now I'm going to help you do the same.
