How often has your child said that to you?
Especially now in these crazy times and loss of normal activities.
You're worried for your kids - and a little sad. This is a huge change from your typical summer.
You're probably also stressed. Having your kids home means you can't get any work done and you have next to no time for yourself.

"This program is great. My son is 14 and was very hesitant about watching the videos but he quickly looked forward to them and was excited to do each assignment. If you knew my son, you would realize how amazing this is. He discovered something to do that he is really excited about and can be used in real life"

We narrow their list down to find a goal that's personally meaningful for them.
I teach them how to work backward to formulate a plan to achieve their goal. This skill will transfer directly to the school year when they need to plan for big projects!
They learn the negotiation G.A.M.E - the step-by-step process to ask for what they want while being respectful to you. (And you'll probably get extra chores out of this.)
Your child will lay out their summer week-by-week, setting their own goal milestones.
Your kids will work on their growth mindset. Through these lessons, they'll see mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow instead of shameful.
For the first time EVER, your child will get personalized video feedback from me! They will submit their launch plan and I'll respond with motivation and tiny tweaks to make it better.
"My kids always have so many big ideas. Not So Bummer Summer taught them how to brainstorm, then how to choose ONE. That was super awesome!"

I teach your kids through stories and activities on how to create a big summer goal and achieve it.
This is where the magic happens! Using this workbook, your kids will create their summer goal plan, practice project management, and set a timeline for their project.
In the course, your kids create their own launch plans. To help them, we created four sample plans on popular summer goals:
"Not So Bummer Summer takes that accountability and responsibility and gives it to my children in a way they don't even realize that they're learning something new.
They're learning life skills. The course teaches them time management, planning and being self-motivated and driven. They were excited and didn't even realize they were learning."

These are crazy times. All our plans have been uprooted and life is a little less predictable.
One thing is for sure: our kids now have a lot of time on their hands. Let's look at this as a blessing.
As a mom and former elementary school teacher, I know that the most successful kids know how to motivate themselves to complete BIG things. But how do we teach these skills as parents -especially when we're dealing with our own workload?
That's what Not So Bummer Summer 2.0 will do! We're going to teach your kids how to claim a big summer goal and achieve it!
"JoAnn is an excellent teacher--funny, engaging, and easy to understand. She became my daughter's ally, rather than just another adult telling her to focus."

You'll need to do two things to get your child ready for Not So Bummer Summer:
1) Print out the workbook and
2) be around to answer any questions.
However, there probably won't be many questions since this course is for your child.
This will work.
They can still watch the videos together. Simply print out 2 copies of the workbook so they can each create their own plan.
Since they are responsible for their own summer goal, it will not be any extra work for you. Your kids will be self-motivated to complete it on their own.
Once you sign up, you have access for the entire lifetime of the course. There is no time limit to finish the lessons.
However, there is a time limit for feedback. If your child wants me to review their launch plans, they only have until September 30 the same year of purchase.
No. The point of Not So Bummer Summer 2.0 is for kids to find a way - on their own - to get things done with relying on other people to make it happen.
They may need an occasional supply, however I teach them how to negotiate for it instead of demand.
If you say no, they need to find another way to make their project happen.
This is going to light a fire under your laid-back child! JoAnn will take him or her step-by-step through finding a goal they're passionate about and then creating a plan to make it happen.
Yes! Everything is digital. As long as you have an internet connection and device - you can access the content.
I want your summer to be productive and calm! If you feel like Not So Bummer Summer 2.0 isn't for you, I'll gladly refund your purchase within the first 30 days. However, I think you'll love it.
